Many years ago I started out as a drummer. I spent a good few years playing multiple gigs, and between bands, gigs, recording and rehearsals, I was pretty much at it solidly.

Guitar came later, but when it did, it had me hooked. I genuinely believe that it is one of the most unique, expressive, easy to learn, extremely difficult to master instruments that exists.

Having bought numerous guitars over the years, ( don’t we all ) I wound up setting up every instrument I bought, in order to have exactly what I wanted. This led to performing the same for various friends and musicians that I know, and things just grew organically.

Six String Garage offers everything from Setups to pickup swapping, re-wiring, wiring looms, fret dressing & refretting.

Moving forward, the next project on the horizon is going to be custom pickups. It’s another rabbit hole to delve into, and I look forward to the journey.

For many players, tinkering with their guitars more than a simple string change can be intimidating, time consuming and of no interest al all. That’s exactly why Six String Garage exists, to be the reliable, safe set of hands to keep your pride and joy running just the way you want.

Community and support is something I believe in passionately, especially when it comes to guitar playing. The internet has enough competition and chest beating at the best of times. SSG is here to help, support, encourage, not to mention just have a good natter about gear and music.
